TCAP Testing- 3rd Grade Results Are IN!

Congratulations to our 3rd Grade Readers and EXCEPTIONAL Teaching Staff! We have 87% scoring Proficient/Advanced, 0% Unsatisfactory and 25% Advanced-an increase of 15% from last year.

PAW-Pedal and Walk to School-May 13-17th

Students are encouraged to pedal, skate, scooter, run or walk to school this week when possible. Each morning participating students will receive tickets for a daily prize drawing. Students riding the bus or driven to school can earn a ticket by running two laps around the playground (students must arrive with enough time to complete laps prior to the first bell. Join us and have fun exercising on the way to school!

New Lyons Depot Library Cards available at BBQ

Parents/Guardians may sign themselves and/or their dependents up for new bar-coded Lyons Depot Library cards by presenting a valid picture identification if you already have an account at the library. If you do not currently have a library account, please bring an additional document to verify name and address (e.g. a utility bill, tax receipt or other documentation that shows the user’s name and present address).

The new library cards provide patrons with access to additional library services such as account information online and easy access to other AspenCat member library collections through inter-library loan (over 609,000 items). In addition to card sign up, Library Advisory Board members will be available to answer any questions and receive feedback at the library table at the Games.

MESA Events Coming Up

Culminating event for LES MESA: Friday, May 17th, 2013 at 6pm (backup date set for Saturday, May 18th, at 6 pm). We will have a drawing for several free telescopes, as well as Star Lab from Fiske planetarium with the Solar System program and our new donated telescopes set up for Moon gazing!
